It is no wonder that so many people fall in love with tipis. With their feet standing in a circle on the ground and poles reaching high into the sky, to stay in a tipi is to return to a simpler, more natural way of living. To sit by, or cook on, a roaring central fire, or to lie in bed looking at the stars, is the height of romance. Standing some 25 feet high & 18 feet in diameter, our tipi can comfortably sleep four people, but makes a romantic & intimate home for two. What a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion or to spend a honeymoon.

 

We have one 18-foot tipi, which is fully furnished, with central fire pit, wood, BBQ, Trangia cooker, beds, rugs, cushions, throws, lanterns, tables, seating, picnic set, cool box, fire extinguisher, books, storage trunks & torch. Unlike many hirers, we offer tipi living as it is meant to be. We don't cut off the top off the poles, (thus spoiling their beauty) & put on a rain hat. Instead, we have painstakingly sanded & treated each pole, so that the rain runs down them in a fine stream, behind the liner & down to the ground. We also allow a fire inside &, if you like, we will teach you to manage the smoke flaps, which act as a chimney & are moved, (a bit like a coat collar), according to the direction of the wind. But equally, if you prefer not to have the responsibility, we'll always manage it for you!
