The bell tent is a design classic that has probably sheltered more people than any other tent in history. Made of waterproof & flame-retardant heavyweight canvas, which drapes down from a central pole & is held tight by guy ropes, its classic style is beautiful to behold. When the weather is warm, you can roll up the sides & the bell tent just seems to float in the air.
The tent is 4m in diameter & while some people claim that it can sleep more, we recommend it as a roomy & comfortable space just for two. It has a thick groundsheet & an optional separate bedroom compartment within the circular interior for extra warmth & privacy.
Bell tents are ideal for couples who want something different from their holiday. They are for people who want more space, luxury, beauty, comfort & style than the average nylon tent. The circular space creates an air of romance & intimacy. Feel free to load up your car with duvets, rugs, throws & cushions to make yourselves completely at home!
The bell tent is very flexible & there are various options to suit different needs:
open-plan: which enables the sides to be rolled up if the weather is sunny - like a great big parasol!
with a bedroom compartment: which is roomy, (occupying half the space), makes it warmer & more private at night, but means that you can't roll up the sides
with the 'Pipsqueak' woodburning stove: all warm & toasty, but means no bedroom compartment or rolled up sides are possible
